California High School Volleyball - Salesian College Preparatory over Patten Academy
May 5, 2016: Richmond, CA 94804 Salesian College Preparatory Pride (Richmond, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Patten Academy Bulldogs (Oakland, CA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
With the loss, Patten Academy drops to 5-13 on the campaign.
Match Summary
In the second match of this series, Patten was once again playing with a depleted squad and missing a key setter. However, they managed to take play strong offensively and take a set against Salesian - and played strong enough to take several others if the laws of chance had bounced their way.
More importantly for the Bulldogs, they ended the season the way they started it - as a team. No one got down on anyone else, and strong mutual support was evident throughout the match. It was a solid performance by Patten, and a solid way to end the regular season.
