The Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Poly Panthers (Pasadena, CA), 42-36 in Friday's non-league test.

The Centurions (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Chaminade (West Hills, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Chaminade was tipped by Alemany (Mission Hills, CA), 56-44, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burroughs for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Poly will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 59-56 non-league loss to Hawthorne (Hawthorne, CA). The Indians record now stands at 4-8.
