February 8, 2013: Mt. Airy, NC 27030 In Friday's league outing, the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) basketball squad edged the host North Surry Greyhounds (Mt. Airy, NC), by a count of 35-29.
The Villains (13-7) will now prepare for their outing against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Bears go into the 2A/1A Northwest outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, Mount Airy held off Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC), 57-53, in a league outing.
The Greyhounds now hold a 20-2 record. They play next when they host East Surry for a 2A/1A Northwest outing on Tuesday, February 12. North Surry will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 55-50 league win over Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-4.
