The Bandys (Catawba, NC) varsity basketball team won Saturday's neutral tournament game against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) by a score of 69-63.

The Bandys Trojans basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Highland School of Technology Rams to 63 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Trojans now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton-Conover for a South Fork Athletic 2A contest on Wednesday, January 2. Bandys will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 44-35 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-4.
The Rams (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons enter the Southern Piedmont 1A contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy was nudged by Blue Ridge (Greer, SC), 75-43, in a non-league contest.
