April 17, 2009: Cambridge, MA 02138 Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights (Cambridge, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Phillips Academy Big Blues (Andover, MA), 11-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Buckingham Browne & Nichols upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Rivers (Weston, MA) to battle the Red Wings in a Independent School test on Saturday, April 18. The Red Wings come into the test with a record of 2-2. Rivers won 9-7 in their recent league test against Brooks (North Andover, MA)
The Big Blues now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Worcester Academy for a Central New England battle on Saturday, April 18. Phillips Academy will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, MA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 2-2.
