The Marquette Redmen basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Houghton Gremlins to 24 in the Redmen non-league victory on Thursday.

The Redmen now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alpena for a non-league contest on Monday, March 5.

The Gremlins (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against L'Anse (L'Anse, MI). The Purple Hornets come into the Western Peninsula contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, L'Anse was routed by Westwood (Ishpeming, MI), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
