In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting La Mirada Matadores softball team scored a close 8-2 win over the La Serna Lancers.

Coming up next, the Matadores encounter the Cerritos Dons (Cerritos, CA) in a Suburban outing, on Tuesday, April 17. La Mirada will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Dons enter the outing with a 11-4 record after their 5-4 league win over Artesia (Lakewood, CA).
