Duchesne Eagles (Duchesne, UT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Tabiona Tigers (Tabiona, UT), 41-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Duchesne upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Altamont (Altamont, UT) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Region 16 bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Altamont won 54-24 in their recent non-league bout against Wendover (Wendover, UT)

Next up, the Tigers play the Rich Rebels (Randolph, UT) in a 1A Region 16 bout, on Saturday, January 8. Tabiona will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 57-24 league win over Manila (Manila, UT).
