The Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) football defeated the host Classical Purples (Providence, RI), 36-20 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) in a Division II-A bout, on Friday, October 5. Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Avengers enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 44-13 league loss to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI).
