December 28, 2017: Stamps, AR 71860 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bearden Bears (Bearden, AR) and the host Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR), witnessed Bearden's basketball squad beat Lafayette County by a margin of 76-67.
The Bears (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Magnolia (Magnolia, AR). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Magnolia thwarted Fordyce (Fordyce, AR), 72-28, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Dermott for a non-league test on Saturday, December 30. Lafayette County will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 59-51 non-league win over Dollarway (Pine Bluff, AR). The Rams record now stands at 10-7.
