North Carolina High School Baseball - Shelby loses to South Caldwell
April 4, 2018: Shelby, NC 28152 The Shelby Golden Lions baseball team (Shelby, NC), was overwhelmed 4-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC)
The Spartans now hold a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burns for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 5. South Caldwell will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Crest (Shelby, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-5.
Next, the Golden Lions face the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a Southwestern 2A outing, on Tuesday, April 10. Shelby will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record. The Warriors enter the outing with a 6-7 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).
