Pennsylvania High School Football - Franklin Regional beat Belle Vernon
September 28, 2012: Belle Vernon, PA 15012 The Franklin Regional Panthers football squad scored 35 points and held the host Belle Vernon Leopards to 7 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Knoch (Saxonburg, PA). The Knights come into the WPIAL AAA Northeastern challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Knoch was beaten by Hampton (Allison Park, PA), 20-17, in a league challenge.
The Leopards now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trinity for a WPIAL AAA Big Nine challenge on Friday, October 5. Belle Vernon will meet a Hillers team coming off a 50-14 league win over Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA). The Hillers record now stands at 3-2.
