Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southwest Eagles (El Centro, CA) and the visiting Vincent Memorial Scots (Calexico, CA), saw Southwest's basketball squad hold off Vincent Memorial by a count of 52-48.

With the victory, Southwest upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Montgomery (San Diego, CA) to play the Aztecs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 18. The Aztecs come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Scots play the Holtville Vikings (Holtville, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 7. Vincent Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 49-38 non-league loss to Hamilton (Anza, CA).
