North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Meyersdale Red Raiders (Meyersdale, PA), 37-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Star upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA) to face the Bluejays in a Western Pennsylvania - Northern game on Thursday, January 19. The Bluejays enter the game with a record of 8-3. Conemaugh Valley won 65-29 in their recent non-league game against Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence, PA)
