The Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball crushed the host Central Academy of Technology and Arts Cougars (Monroe, NC), 67-11 in Friday's league test.

The Redhawks (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers go into the Rocky River 2A test with a 8-11 record.

The Cougars now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to West Stanly for a Rocky River 2A test on Tuesday, January 31. Central Academy of Technology and Arts will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 51-46 league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Colts record now stands at 9-11.
