The Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) football defeated the visiting Freehold Boro Colonials (Freehold, NJ), 22-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Huskies face the Red Bank Regional Bucs (Little Silver, NJ) in a Shore - Central A bout, on Thursday, September 16. Matawan Regional will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bucs enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 26-14 non-league win over Central Regional (Bayville, NJ).
