The Western Alamance Warriors basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Person Rockets to 62 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McMichael for a Mid-State 3A contest on Tuesday, February 5. Western Alamance will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 61-57 non-league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 15-5.

The Rockets (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Nighthawks enter the Mid-State 3A contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Northern Guilford was nudged by Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC), 62-53, in a league contest.
