In Friday's non-league challenge, the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) baseball squad the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), by a final score of 6-2.

With the win, Richmond upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Raiders host Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Terry Sanford won 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC)

With the defeat, Anson falls to 0-1 on the season. The Bearcats travel to North Stanly (New London, NC) to battle the Comets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 6. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. North Stanly won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against South Davidson (Denton, NC)
