September 5, 2008: Arvada, CO 80005 The Pomona Panthers football squad scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Grand Junction Tigers to 7 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ranum/Westminster for a 5A South Metro battle on Friday, September 12. Pomona will play a Raiders squad coming off a 40-6 non-league loss to Denver East (Denver, CO). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
Next up, the Tigers meet the Highlands Ranch Falcons (Highlands Ranch, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Grand Junction will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 30-7 league win over Rampart (Colorado Springs, CO).
