First Half
The first half was mostly Liberty. They scored early and we did not seem to be able to get our style of game going. They are very physical and we do not play at that level in our league. We tried to use our speed against them but they disturbed our direct game with high pressure on the ball and player.
Second Half
The second half was all ours. We tied it up but could not get the go ahead goal. We played our game. Spread them out and played with intensity that we did not have in the first half.
Overtime
In the first overtime we scored and had the game in hand regarless of the referee trying to equalize the game. Late in the second overtime with 5 minutes to go our center back received a gash over her eye about 3 inches long. We sent her to the hospital and reoganized. The scored a late goal off a bad mistake we made and we went to penatly kicks. Both Keepers did their job it took 9 kicks to settle the question of who whould play another game and who would not. It took 30 stiches to fix the cut and the girl that colided with our center back went to the hospital to see how she was. That is a lot of class.
