Laurel Valley Rams (New Florence, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ligonier Valley Mounties (Ligonier, PA), 52-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Laurel Valley upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Rams host Homer-Center (Homer City, PA) to play the Wildcats in a Heritage bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Homer-Center won 76-57 in their recent non-league bout against Vincentian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the Mounties play the Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) in a Heritage bout, on Tuesday, January 5. Ligonier Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 55-43 league win over Purchase Line (Commodore, PA).
