The Alief Elsik Rams basketball team (Houston, TX), was nudged 66-65 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Cypress Ridge Rams (Houston, TX)

The Rams now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Creek for a 6A Region III District 17 battle on Wednesday, January 2. Cypress Ridge will battle a Cougars team coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-9.

The Rams (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Waller (Waller, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Waller was nudged by Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX), 69-52, in a non-league battle.
