Arizona High School Basketball - Red Mountain holds off Chaparral
December 29, 2017: Scottsdale, AZ 85253 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) and the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Red Mountain's basketball squad hold off Chaparral by a tally of 88-83.
With the victory, Red Mountain improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Mountain Lions travel to Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Sunnyslope won 61-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Westview (Avondale, AZ)
Next up, the Firebirds confront the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Islanders come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 69-47 non-league loss to Mountain View (Mesa, AZ).
