New Mexico High School Football - West Las Vegas succumbs to Pojoaque Valley
September 29, 2012: Pojoaque, NM 87506 The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes thwarted the visiting West Las Vegas Dons football team by a count of 33-24 in Saturday's league outing.
With the win, Pojoaque Valley moves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Elks/Elkettes host Raton (Raton, NM) to face the Tigers in a 3A District 2 bout on Saturday, October 6. The Tigers enter the bout with a record of 0-5. Raton lost 52-46 in their recent non-league bout against Clayton (Clayton, NM)
The Dons (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM). The Hawks enter the non-league bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Laguna Acoma was toppled by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 47-0, in a non-league bout.
