New York High School Basketball - Bishop Maginn nips Tamarac
February 2, 2019: Troy, NY 12180 Bishop Maginn Griffins (Albany, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Tamarac Bengals (Troy, NY), 68-64 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bishop Maginn upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Griffins host Doane Stuart (Albany, NY) to play the Thunder Chicken in a Section 2 Central Hudson Valley bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Thunder Chicken go into the bout with a record of 0-13. Doane Stuart lost 92-47 in their recent league bout against New Lebanon (New Lebanon, NY)
Next up, the Bengals play the Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) in a Section 2 Wasaren - A bout, on Wednesday, February 6. Tamarac will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 55-47 non-league loss to Schoharie (Schoharie, NY).
