California High School Basketball - Los Alamitos can't hold off Esperanza

The Esperanza Aztecs basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Los Alamitos Griffins to 35 in the Aztecs league victory on Tuesday.

The Aztecs now sport a 13-11 record. They play next when they host Fountain Valley for a Sunset contest on Thursday, February 11. Esperanza will meet a Barons team coming off a 78-41 league loss to Edison (Huntington Beach, CA). The Barons record now stands at 10-15.

The Griffins (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA). The Vikings come into the Sunset contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Marina edged Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA), 38-34, in a league contest.
