February 17, 2012: Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) and the visiting Roeper Roughriders (Birmingham, MI), saw University Liggett's basketball squad knock off Roeper by a score of 62-52.
With the victory, University Liggett improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Lutheran Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI) to battle the Crusaders in a Michigan Independent - Blue challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Lutheran Northwest lost 64-52 in their recent league challenge against Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI)
Next up, the Roughriders battle the Oakland Christian Lancers (Auburn Hills, MI) in a Michigan Independent - Blue challenge, on Monday, February 20. Roeper will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 64-52 league win over Lutheran Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI).
