First Quarter
R – Tony Schott 3 yd pass from Conner Gore (Merrick Strykowski kick)
The Fishers Tigers began with ball to face the Roncalli Rebels for the first time ever. The Tigers offense put together two first downs, but stalled and was forced to punt. The Rebels quarterback threw an interception on his first pass, but it was taken off the board after a roughing the passer penalty against the Tigers. Roncalli put together a balanced drive of runs and passes before quarterback Conner Gore found Tony Schott for a 3 yard touchdown. Fishers offense went 3 and out and was forced to punt. The Rebels offense again had a methodical drive that finished the first quarter.
Second Quarter
R – Jacob Luedeman 9 yd pass from Gore (Strykowski kick)
F – Ben Norton 48 yd FG
F – Matt Wolff 6 yd run (Norton kick)
The Rebels continued their drive into the beginning of the second quarter as Gore found Jacob Luedeman for a 9 yard touchdown pass. On the ensuing kickoff, Emmanuel Davis returned the ball to the Tigers 44 yard line and Fishers was able to move into Rebel territory before Ben Norton converted on a 48 yard field goal to get Fishers on the board. On the next drive, Seth Sontich forced the ball loose and recovered the fumble to give Fishers great field position. Matt Wolff kept the ball on a quarterback draw and scored from 6 yards out to bring the halftime score to 14-10 in favor of Roncalli.
Third Quarter
F – HL Lewis 8 yd run (Norton kick)
Roncalli came out with the ball to start the 2nd half, but the Tigers defense stopped them at midfield and forced a punt. HL Lewis ripped off a 50 yard run to get the Tigers inside the Rebels 5, but Fishers fumbled and Roncalli recovered deep in their own territory. The Rebels got the ball out of the shadow of their end zone, but Luke Uribe made two huge tackles to force a Roncalli punt. Lewis had another long run to get the ball deep into the Rebel red zone before scoring from the 8 yard line.
Fourth Quarter
R – Elijah Mahan 1 yd run (Strykowski kick)
R – Mahan 19 yd run (Strykowski kick)
Roncalli put together a scoring drive to begin the 4th quarter. Gore found Luedeman for 23 yards and Patrick McManama ran for 37 yards to get inside the Tigers 5 yard line. The Tigers defense held tough on 3rd down and made contact on 4th down, but Elijah Mahan was able to score on his second effort. Fishers had a nice drive going before quarterback Matt Wolff was picked off by Ethan Newett as he out-jumped Collin Statz on a deep pass. Roncalli put together a clock eating drive as they drove almost 75 yards in 4 minutes to take an 11 point lead with under 4 minutes to go in the game. The Tigers tried to made a last minute comeback, but the offense couldn’t get going and Roncalli was able to run the clock out.
