Kansas High School Basketball - Centre falls to White City
January 6, 2012: White City, KS 66872 The White City Huskies basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Centre Cougars to 35 in the Huskies league triumph on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peabody-Burns for a Wheat State contest on Tuesday, January 10. White City will meet a Warriors team coming off a 63-39 league loss to Hope (Hope, KS). The Warriors record now stands at 3-5.
The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Little River (Little River, KS). The Redskins enter the Wheat State contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Little River ran past Ellinwood (Ellinwood, KS), 42-31, in a non-league contest.
