South Carolina High School Basketball - Cheraw over Buford

February 1, 2013: Lancaster, SC 29720

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the host Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad overcome Buford by a tally of 48-40.

With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Braves host Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC) to confront the Warriors in a AA Region IV challenge on Saturday, February 2. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-16. Indian Land lost 70-62 in their recent league challenge against Central (Pageland, SC)

Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a AA Region IV challenge, on Tuesday, February 5. Buford will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Golden Rams come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 41-34 league loss to Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC).
