Florida High School Softball - Crystal River nudges Nature Coast Tech
March 15, 2013: Crystal River, FL 34428 Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Nature Coast Tech Sharks (Brooksville, FL), 3-2 in a league challenge.
The Pirates now sport a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hernando for a 5A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Crystal River will face a Leopards squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL). The Leopards record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Nature Coast Tech falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Tavares (Tavares, FL) to face the Bulldogs in a 5A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. Tavares won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Eustis (Eustis, FL)
