California High School Basketball - Bolsa Grande topped by El Modena
December 16, 2017: Orange, CA 92869 The El Modena Vanguards basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Bolsa Grande Matadors to 44 in the Vanguards non-league victory on Saturday.
The Vanguards now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arlington for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. El Modena will battle a Lions team coming off a 92-49 non-league win over Arroyo Valley (San Bernardino, CA). The Lions record now stands at 5-6.
The Matadors (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Katella (Anaheim, CA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Katella was defeated by Fullerton (Fullerton, CA), 74-54, in a non-league contest.
