January 18, 2011: Indianapolis, IN 46221 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Avon Orioles (Avon, IN) and the host Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN), saw Avon's basketball squad knock off Decatur Central by a score of 61-48.
With the victory, Avon improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Orioles host Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN) to battle the Royals in a Hoosier Crossroads challenge on Friday, January 21. The Royals come into the contest with a record of 10-2. Hamilton Southeastern lost 63-61 in their recent non-league contest against Westerville South (Westerville, OH)
The Hawks (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Greenwood (Greenwood, IN). The Woodmen come into the Mid-State contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Greenwood was defeated by Edinburgh (Edinburgh, IN), 72-65, in a non-league contest.
