The West Mecklenburg Hawks softball team (Charlotte, NC), was routed 13-3 in Thursday's non-league test with the host Ashbrook Green Wave (Gastonia, NC)

Coming up next, the Green Wave encounter the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a 3A Big South test, on Friday, April 12. Ashbrook will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Shelby (Shelby, NC).

The Hawks (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the 4A/3A MEGA 7 bout with a 4-4 record.
