Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), 72-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Riverside upgrades its record to 18-12 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Canutillo (Canutillo, TX) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 9. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 22-5. Canutillo won 45-35 in their recent league bout against Ysleta (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Matadors play the Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 9. Parkland will attempt to upgrade on its 14-14 season record. The Scorpions come into the bout with a 23-6 record after their 57-45 league win over Del Valle (El Paso, TX).
