The Victory Christian Lions football team (Pell City, AL), was beaten 39-12 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Spring Garden Panthers (Spring Garden, AL)

The Panthers (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Appalachian (Oneonta, AL). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 5 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Appalachian was beaten by Winterboro (Alpine, AL), 52-14, in a league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Donoho for a 1A Region 5 challenge on Friday, October 19. Victory Christian will meet a Falcons team coming off a 45-18 league win over Talladega County Central (Talladega, AL). The Falcons record now stands at 5-2.
