September 11, 2010: South Boston, VA 24592 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) and the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), saw Halifax County's volleyball squad beat Staunton River by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Halifax County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Comets host Bluestone (Skipwith, VA) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 14. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Golden Eagles now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to James River for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 14. Staunton River will play a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Knights record now stands at 3-2.
