December 30, 2010: Chicago Heights, IL 60411 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) and the visiting Rich Central Olympians (Olympia Fields, IL), saw Marian Catholic's basketball squad overcome Rich Central by a count of 71-61.
With the victory, Marian Catholic upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to St. Patrick (Chicago, IL) to play the Shamrocks in a East Suburban Catholic challenge on Friday, January 7. The Shamrocks come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. St. Patrick lost 54-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL)
Next up, the Olympians play the Rich South Stars (Richton Park, IL) in a SICA - South challenge, on Friday, January 7. Rich Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Stars come into the battle with a 8-2 record after their 56-51 non-league win over Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL).
