The Centura Centurions basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Overton Eagles to 28 in the Centurions non-league victory on Wednesday.

With the win, Centura upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Centurions host Sutton (Sutton, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Sutton lost 45-34 in their recent non-league bout against Wood River (Wood River, NE)

Next up, the Eagles play the Gibbon Buffaloes (Gibbon, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Overton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 56-47 non-league win over Silver Lake (Roseland, NE).
