In Saturday's non-league match, the Midfield Patriots (Midfield, AL) basketball team were victorious over the visiting Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL), by a score of 48-39.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Central Lions (Hayneville, AL) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 26. Midfield will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 4-4 record after their 77-76 non-league loss to Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL).
