The Trumbull Golden Eagles basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Platt RVT Panthers to 38 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staples for a Fairfield County contest on Tuesday, January 6.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Abbott RVT (Danbury, CT). The Wolverines enter the Constitution State - West contest with a 2-1 record.
