Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 60-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ponderosa upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Bruins host Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to encounter the Bruins in a non-league bout on Monday, December 21. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Bear River won 41-26 in their recent non-league bout against Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA)

Next up, the Hillmen encounter the Rocklin Thunder (Rocklin, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 2. Placer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 68-51 non-league loss to Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA).
