Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sterling Raiders (Houston, TX) and the host Waltrip Rams (Houston, TX), saw Sterling's basketball squad hold off Waltrip by a score of 56-54.

With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Yates (Houston, TX) to battle the Lions in a 4A Region III District 21 challenge on Monday, January 17. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 10-3.

Next up, the Rams battle the Yates Lions (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 21 challenge, on Saturday, January 15. Waltrip will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 84-75 league win over Reagan (Houston, TX).
