California High School Softball - Homestead bounces Prospect
March 11, 2013: Cupertino, CA 95014 Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Prospect Panthers (Saratoga, CA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Santa Clara for a De Anza challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Homestead will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Cupertino (Cupertino, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Prospect falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Leigh (San Jose, CA) to battle the Longhorns in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Leigh lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Westmont (Campbell, CA)
