Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC), 60-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop McGuinness upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Villains host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 3-2. East Surry lost 81-65 in their recent non-league bout against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC)

Next up, the Wolfpack play the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Walkertown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 62-58 non-league win over North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC).
