Illinois High School Basketball - East over Larkin
February 5, 2009: Aurora, IL 60505 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) and the visiting Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), saw East's basketball squad knock off Larkin by a score of 85-68.
With the victory, East improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to Simeon (Chicago, IL) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 7. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Simeon won 69-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Lane (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Royals battle the Streamwood Sabres (Streamwood, IL) in a Upstate Eight challenge, on Saturday, February 14. Larkin will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Sabres come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 75-58 league loss to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL).
