The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Walnut Grove Christian "The Grove" to 53 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 22. Northwest Cabarrus will confront a Sabres team coming off a 63-59 non-league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 3-7.

Next up, the "The Grove" play the Varsity Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 21. Walnut Grove Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The come into the bout with a 74-278 record after their 71-43 non-league loss to Trinity Christian (Monterey, CA).
