California High School Volleyball - Shafter nudged by Porterville
September 18, 2008: Porterville, CA 93257 The Shafter Generals volleyball team (Shafter, CA), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Porterville Panthers (Porterville, CA)
The Panthers (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Tulare Western (Tulare, CA). The Mustangs go into the East Yosemite bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Tulare Western got by Mt. Whitney (Visalia, CA), 3-2, in a non-league bout.
The Generals now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bakersfield Christian for a South Sequoia bout on Tuesday, October 7. Shafter will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Immanuel (Reedley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-1.
