The Laney Buccaneers football team scored 35 points and held the visiting West Brunswick Trojans to 22 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Buccaneers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Northern Nash achieved victory over South Central (Winterville, NC), 17-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Brunswick for a 3A/2A Waccamaw challenge on Friday, September 14. West Brunswick will meet a Cougars team coming off a 40-6 non-league loss to Southern (Durham, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
