May 3, 2013: Punxsutawney, PA 15767 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Bishop McCort Crushers (Johnstown, PA) and the host Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA), saw Bishop McCort's baseball squad knock off Punxsutawney by a count of 10-6.
Coming up next, the Crushers play the Penn Cambria Panthers (Cresson, PA) in a Laurel Highlands 1 battle, on Monday, May 6. Bishop McCort will attempt to move on its 13-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 3-11 record after their 26-14 league win over Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA).
The Chucks now possess a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Marys for a Central Penn battle on Monday, May 6. Punxsutawney will play a Flying Dutch squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Ridgway (Ridgway, PA). The Flying Dutch record now stands at 2-9.
